Becoming the Body is a six-week course focusing on Compassionate Somatic Inquiry that will allow you to engage in the world around you in tune with your needs and desires, trust your Body's wisdom, and respond to life's challenges gracefully.

We carry a lifetime of experiences, memories, and emotions, many of which have shaped who we are and how we navigate the world around us.

Sometimes these experiences weigh heavily on us, manifesting in physical and emotional pain. They can even limit our beliefs and behaviors.

Becoming the Body is a holistic approach to recognizing the deep connection between the mind and the Body utilizing compassion to facilitate personal growth and overcome past experiences.

Our bodies are our subconscious minds that hold our unconscious thoughts, beliefs, and knowledge. When we unite the Body and the reason, we create meaning and purpose and begin moving toward our passions and dreams.

Becoming Body will give you.

* Body Awareness: It involves becoming more aware of your Body's sensations, feelings, and emotions.

* Grounding: You are sensating being connected to yourself and the earth in the present moment.

* Resourcing: The ability to access positive, grounding, and empowering emotions and sensations.

* Pedulation & Titration: A technique to help process old memories and emotions safely.

* Self Awareness: It supports you to see the interconnectedness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations.

* Breathing and Movement: Fundamentally breathing and movement are components of emotional and physical well - Being.

Our focus will be Safety and Connection during this six-week course.

We will work with our nervous system through the PolyVagal theory, where we create internal practices of home-play that make an open invitation and play gentle listening, connection, and play exercises.

With Connection and Safety, you will feel:

  • A sense of self through self-reflection and self-awareness

  • Improved relationships through improved communication gained from a better understanding of self.

  • Improved physiological discomfort such as stress, negative emotions, and irritability or aggression.

  • Create greater resilience and freedom.
